Occupational Therapist

Athena is an occupational therapist who is passionate about working with children, youth and families. Athena graduated from the University of Waterloo with BSc in Kinesiology with a minor in rehabilitation sciences and recently completed her master’s in Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto. Athena has extensive experience facilitating occupation with children and youth with a variety of abilities such as fine and gross motor skills, handwriting, social-emotional development, sensory processing, self-regulation, executive functioning, and transition/life skills. She is trained to implement Learning Without Tears™ and the Zones of Regulation™ programs.

Athena is passionate about supporting children and families to identify and work towards their goals. Athena uses a strengths-based approach to occupational therapy, focusing on building skills through individualized activities based on each child’s interests.  

When Athena isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, especially her nieces and nephews. She enjoys playing soccer, going on hikes, and travelling to new places.
