Autism Services

Boomerang Health offers several services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or families exploring a diagnosis of ASD.  These include diagnostic and therapy services.  

Diagnostic Services

Boomerang Health conducts developmental assessments for children and youth from 2-18 years of age.  Depending on the age, assessments may involve any of the following professionals:

• Child Psychologist 
• Paediatrician 
• Occupational Therapist 
• Speech-Language Pathologist 

For school-aged children, developmental assessments can be combined with cognitive and/or academic assessments.

Therapy Services

Boomerang Health provides Core Clinical Services to eligible children using funding from the Ontario Autism Program (OAP).  OAP funds can be used for the following services:

• Brain and Mental Health 
• Occupational Therapist 
• Speech-Language Pathologist 

Services may be conducted one-on-one with a registered therapist or in a group setting, and are offered in the clinic or virtually.
