Caregiver Workshop: Underweight & Restrictive Eating – VIRTUAL
Underweight and Restrictive Eating Caregiver Workshop is designed to provide education for caregivers of children and youth ages 10–17. It explores the medical and developmental risks associated with being underweight, and offers guidance on how to support a young person experiencing restrictive or disordered eating.
This workshop is informed by principles of Family-Based Treatment (FBT), the leading evidence-based approach for children and adolescents with eating disorders. It is important to note that this is an educational workshop, not a treatment program. A physician referral is required, and the workshop is intended for caregivers of youth who are underweight or experiencing restrictive eating challenges.
This workshop is facilitated by a Registered Dietitian and Social Worker. The workshop takes place virtually over Zoom.
