    Dr. Stephanie L.M. Lung

    Ph.D

    C.Psych. Supervised Practice

    Stephanie L.M. Lung, Ph.D., C.Psych. (Supervised practice) specializes in the assessment of and therapy for children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental needs, including autism and intellectual disability. She completed her Bachelor of Science (Hons. B.Sc.) in Psychology and Immunology at the University of Toronto. She later completed her Master of Psychological Medicine (M.Psy.Med.) at the University of Hong Kong, before starting her formal clinical training in Montreal. She subsequently completed her Master of Arts (M.A.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the School/Applied Child Psychology program at McGill University.

    Dr. Lung completed her pre-doctoral residency and advanced practicum at the Surrey Place Centre in Toronto, where she provided assessments, interventions, and consultations for children with developmental needs. She also received clinical training across a range of educational settings in Montreal, including the Lester B. Pearson School Board, Summit School of Montreal, and McGill Psychoeducational and Counselling Clinic. Following the completion of her residency, Dr. Lung also worked at the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital as a psychometrist for two years, where she provided and co-facilitated autism assessments for young children and psychoeducational assessments for children with neuromotor concerns.

    Dr. Lung has extensive experience supporting children and youth with a wide range of mental health concerns, and is skilled in adapting therapeutic approaches to meet the diverse needs of neurodivergent individuals. Her areas of focus include anxiety, depression, family challenges, low self-esteem, behavioural regulation difficulties, and issues related to identity and sexuality. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), with integrative techniques drawn from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Dr. Lung is committed to creating a safe, warm, and inclusive environment that meets children where they are developmentally. She works collaboratively with families to provide personalized care that honours each child’s unique needs, values, and strengths.
