Marette Abdelmaseh, Ph.D. (C.Psych. Supervised Practice) is a Psychologist in Supervised Practice, working under the supervision of Dr. Susan Lambert and Dr. Elyse Reim. Marette provides services to children and adolescents, engaging with their families to best support their wellbeing. She has experience treating a wide range of challenges, including emotional and behavioural difficulties, trauma, and parent-child relational problems. She also has specialized training working with children with selective mutism. Marette strives to create a warm and supportive therapeutic environment for clients and families to work collaboratively on reaching their goals. Marette conducts psychoeducational and psychodiagnostic assessments for various concerns, including anxiety, depression, learning disabilities, attention difficulties, and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Marette obtained her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Clinical-Developmental Psychology from York University. Her doctoral research focused on understanding how caregivers’ life experiences can affect how they manage their own emotions when caring for their children. Marette completed her pre-doctoral residency at the Reach Out Centre for Kids (ROCK) in Halton Region. She has also completed clinical training at the Child Development Institute, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, and the York University Psychology Clinic.
