    Physiotherapist Job Opportunity

    Part-Time, Saturdays & Evenings, In-Person & Virtual

    Job Summary

    • Available to work evening shifts and Saturdays
    • Provides comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and intervention to children with movement dysfunction related to neurological, musculoskeletal or cardiorespiratory conditions
    • Provides post-surgical rehabilitation
    • Follows evidence-based approach to assessment and treatment
    • Manages a varied caseload and meets required timelines
    • Maintains complete and accurate medical records using Electronic Medical Record system
    • Communicates effectively and maintains relationships with referring physicians, healthcare providers and other relevant community stakeholders
    • Provides education and feedback to families
    • Other duties as required

    Qualifications

    • Master’s/Baccalaureate in Physical Therapy, with experience in paediatric assessment/treatment
    • Physiotherapy Residents accepted
    • Registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario

    Experience/Skills

    • Proficiency in assessment and providing evidence-based orthopaedic and neurodevelopmental interventions for infants/toddlers, children and adolescents
    • Minimum three to five years of experience working in a community-based or outpatient-based physiotherapy setting
    • Comfort with children aged newborn to 18 years
    • Experience with NDT/Bobath preferred
    • Proven ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team
    • Utilizes critical thinking and problem solving skills
    • Requires excellent oral and written communication skills in English
    • Fluent in the French language an asset
    • Excellent interpersonal skills required to interact with children and adults
    • Efficient time management and organizational skills required
