Job Summary
- Provides comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and intervention to children with a variety of occupational therapy needs
- Follows evidence-based approaches to assessment and treatment
- Manages a varied caseload and meets required timelines
- Maintains complete and accurate medical records using Electronic Medical Record system
- Communicates effectively and maintains relationships with referring physicians, healthcare providers and other relevant community stakeholders
- Provides education and feedback to families
- Part-time position available, requires availability on weekends and during evening hours.
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, with experience in paediatric assessment and treatment
- Registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)
Experience/Skills
- A minimum of three years of experience is preferred
- Strong proficiency in assessment and evidence-based occupational therapy interventions with children.
- Experience treating the following areas is an asset:
- Feeding
- Fine motor
- Sensory processing
- Self-regulation
- Motor planning
- Experience with virtual platforms is an asset
- Proven ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Requires excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Utilizes critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Efficient time management and organizational skills required
