    Job Summary

    • This position is part-time/full-time and requires availability on evenings and weekends
    • Provides comprehensive massage therapy assessments and treatment to children
    • Follows evidence-based approach to assessment and treatment
    • Manages a varied caseload and meets required timelines
    • Maintains complete and accurate medical records using Electronic Medical Record system
    • Communicates effectively and maintains relationships with referring physicians, healthcare providers and other relevant community stakeholders
    • Provides education and feedback to families
    • Manages the inventory of massage therapy supplies and equipment
    • Attends events and gives talks and presentations in the community to promote Boomerang Health and the massage therapy department
    • Other duties as required


    • Minimum three years working experience as a registered massage therapist
    • Registered and in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario
    • Paediatric Massage Certification is preferred


    • Proficiency in assessing and providing evidence-based massage therapy for infants/toddlers, children and adolescents
    • Able to adapt techniques and approaches to treatment to better suit different client’s needs and abilities
    • Proven ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team
    • Utilizes critical thinking and problem solving skills
    • Requires excellent oral and written communication skills in English
    • Must have excellent interpersonal skills to interact with children and adults
    • Efficient time management and organizational skills required
    • Self-starter
    • Marketing experience a real asset
