Dr. Michelle Fardella
Ph.D., C.Psych.
Psychologist
Michelle Fardella, Ph.D., C.Psych. specializes in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents, and working therapeutically with families. She completed her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology and Criminology, and both her Master of Arts and Doctorate degree in Clinical-Developmental Psychology at York University. Dr. Fardella has experience conducting comprehensive psychological and diagnostic assessments, and providing evidence based interventions to children, youth, young adults, and their families for a variety of mental health concerns. Dr. Fardella has training and experience in working with anxiety, mood issues, emotion dysregulation, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), intellectual/ developmental disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
Dr. Fardella completed her pre-doctoral residency at Reach Out Centre for Kids, Halton’s lead agency for child and youth mental health, where she was a member of the multidisciplinary Child & Family team, and the Zero-to-Six team. Dr. Fardella also served as a practicum intern at the York Region Catholic School Board and works at the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board (DPCDSB). She has worked within community agencies, the York University Psychology Clinic, and in private practice. She provides a client and family-centered approach to treatment and tailors various therapy modalities to the needs of her clients (emotion-focused family therapy, narrative therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, and attachment-focused therapy).
Dr. Fardella is a registered psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
