Part-Time Position

Job Summary

• This position is part-time and requires work availability on weekend and evening hours (4:00-8:00 pm)
• Work will be a mix of in-person and virtual care
• Follows evidence-based approaches to assessment and treatment
• Provides education and feedback to families
• Communicates effectively and maintains relationships with referring physicians, healthcare providers and other relevant community stakeholders
• Manages a varied caseload and meets required timelines
• Maintains complete and accurate medical records using an electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition science
• Completion of a Dietitians of Canada-Accredited Post-Graduate dietetic internship or Master’s program
• Member in good standing of the College of Dietitians of Ontario

Experience/Skills

• A minimum of three to five years of paediatric nutrition experience
• Strong proficiency in assessment and evidence-based nutrition interventions with infants and children
• Experience treating the following areas is an asset:
  • Picky Eating
  • Obesity
  • Food Allergies
  • Eating Disorders
  • Growth Concerns /Failure to Thrive
  • Behavioural Issues around Eating/Feeding
  • GI Nutrition (e.g. (Celiac, IBS, EoE) and Tube Feeding
  • Micronutrient Deficiencies
  • Sports Nutrition Concerns
• Proven ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
• Utilizes critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Efficient time management and organizational skills are required
• Requires excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Experience providing care virtually
