Sarah is a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist with over a decade of experience working with children and adolescents in both public and private areas of practice. She enjoys working with families and children of all ages, and has a special interest in areas of language and literacy development, augmentative communication, and social skills. She is Hanen certified, PECS trained, and is an Independent Authorizer for the Assistive Devices Program.
Sarah believes in a family centered approach and uses evidence-based practices when supporting clients’ growth and development. She incorporates movement, literacy, and music wherever possible to provide a multi-sensory approach to teaching and generalizing new skills.
Sarah stays current with best practices through her involvement in both provincial (OSLA) and national associations for Speech Language Pathologists (SAC), and currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Learning Disabilities Association of York Region.
Sarah is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist with a Master of Clinical Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Western Ontario. She also holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Disorders from Brock University. She is a member in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario.
