Sarah de Almeida
MSc.OT., OT Reg. (Ont.)
Sarah is a registered Occupational Therapist who received a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Queen’s University and an Honour’s Bachelor of Arts degree in Child and Youth Studies and Sociology (double major). Sarah is a member in good standing of the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
Sarah has worked with children in a variety of settings, including schools, the community and private health care clinics. She has experience implementing interventions to address fine and gross motor delays, including handwriting and coordination difficulties, and challenges with sensory processing, feeding, self-help skills, social skills and self-regulation. Sarah is committed to building her competence as a pediatric clinician and has completed training in the Handwriting Without Tears program and Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to feeding. In addition, she has developed and led group therapy programs for children, including self-regulation and feeding groups.
Over the years, Sarah has been involved in many roles in the community working with children and families. From this she brings a holistic, family-centered approach to care while supporting children in engaging in meaningful everyday activities. She is thrilled to offer occupational therapy services in collaboration with the Boomerang Health team!
