Naomi Greenwald
M.A., Ph.D. Candidate


Naomi Greenwald, Ph.D. Candidate, is passionate about helping children and adolescents with learning and emotional challenges to realize their potential. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from York University, a Master of Arts in School and Clinical Child Psychology at OISE/University of Toronto, and is currently nearing the completion of her Doctorate degree. In the course of her training, Naomi has gained experience at a variety of sites, including several school boards across the Greater Toronto Area, Surrey Place Centre, and private practice. At Boomerang Health, Naomi works under the direct supervision of Dr. Susan Lambert, C.Psych., Program Leader in Psychology. Naomi has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals, and her research focuses on bereavement interventions for siblings and perinatal loss.  

Naomi specializes in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of issues including intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, autism, attentional difficulties, anxiety, depression, and selective mutism. She strives to apply her first-hand knowledge of the classroom gained during her prior career as a teacher in tailoring her recommendations for clients with learning needs. In her therapy work, Naomi maintains a caring and relaxed ambiance where children and adolescents feel comfortable discussing their mental health concerns. She draws upon a variety of evidence-based techniques to create an individualized approach for each client, while frequently incorporating art and play therapy into her sessions. Naomi also enjoys facilitating social skills groups and parent counselling.
