Speech-Language Pathologist & Manager of Programs
Lauren is a compassionate and dedicated speech-language pathologist with a diverse range of clinical experience, working with children and adolescents with special needs, developmental disorders, and communication difficulties. In the course of her practice, Lauren regularly assesses and treats articulation and phonological disorders, language disorders, fluency disorders, motor speech disorders, reading and writing challenges, and difficulties related to social communication. With experience working in both community and clinical settings, Lauren places a high emphasis on collaboration with families and other healthcare professionals to provide personalized care to every one of her clients.
Lauren’s practice as a speech-language pathologist is grounded in a wealth of experience as a clinical researcher for motor speech disorders, including Parkinson’s disease and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. Through these research experiences, Lauren has developed a keen understanding of the process and importance of delivering evidence-based care in clinical practice.
Lauren is a registered speech-language pathologist with a Master of Clinical Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Western Ontario. She also holds a Specialized Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from York University. Lauren is a certified member of Speech-Language and Audiology Canada and is a member in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario.
