Dr. Ana Marissa Lagman-Bartolome

Paediatric Neurologist & Headache Medicine Specialist
Dr. Lagman is a paediatric neurologist with additional expertise in headache medicine and traumatic brain injuries (concussion). Dr. Lagman trained in Paediatric Neurology at the Hospital for Sick Children and subsequently completed a 2-year clinical fellowship in Headache Medicine in children, adolescents and adults at the University of Toronto (Hospital for Sick Children and Women’s College Hospital). She also spent a few months of her fellowship training in Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Mayo Clinic Arizona. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada and is the first UCNS certified paediatric headache specialist in Canada. In addition to her work at SickKids and Boomerang Health, Dr. Lagman is currently the Director of Paediatric and Adolescent Headache and Concussion Program at the Centre of Headache in Women’s College Hospital. She is also an Assistant Professor (Department of Paediatrics) and clinician teacher at University of Toronto and is actively involved in the education and training of medical students, residents and fellows through the University of Toronto.
Dr. Lagman has published book chapters in headaches in children, metabolic headaches and other secondary headaches, review articles on acute treatment of migraine in children and adults, paediatric migraine variants, use of CGRP monoclonal antibodies in children and research articles in headache education.
Dr. Lagman is a reviewer for Headache: The Journal of Head and Face Pain, Journal of Canadian Neurological Sciences, as well as Developmental Medicine and Child Neurology. She is an active member and faculty staff of Canadian Headache Society and American Headache Society as well as a member of International Headache Society.
