Neuropsychologist (Currently on Maternity Leave)
Carmelinda Longo, Ph.D., C.Psych. is clinical neuropsychologist who provides comprehensive neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessments on adults, adolescents and children across a range of conditions, including traumatic brain injury, concussion, learning disabilities and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. She works part-time at the Hospital for Sick Children where she is conducting research evaluating the effectiveness of cognitive and academic intervention programs for survivors of pediatric brain tumors.
Dr. Longo completed her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of Ottawa and her M.A. in Developmental Psychology at Carleton University. Her pre-doctoral training was competed at the Hospital for Sick Children where she specialized in pediatric neuropsychology. Her post-doctoral fellowship was completed at Community Head Injury Resource Services of Toronto (CHIRS) where she gained extensive experience in acquired brain injury. She has also completed clinical training at Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, The Ottawa Hospital, Elisabeth Bruyere Hospital and Children’s Aid Society.
