Bhairvi is a dedicated speech-language pathologist who has experience working with children and adults across diverse backgrounds. Bhairvi has provided assessment and treatment to children with developmental and acquired speech and language disorders in the following areas: articulation, stuttering (fluency), motor speech, social communication, receptive language, and expressive language. Bhairvi has also gained clinical experience internationally by providing services to children in underserviced and rural parts of western Kenya. Through this experience, Bhairvi has developed an understanding of the importance in implementing tailor-made approaches to assessment and treatment by considering cultural factors and personal goals of her clients.
Bhairvi is an advocate for the implementation of functional goals and evidence-based practices in therapy. She believes that working directly with clients, families, and the interprofessional team is essential in providing client-centered care. Bhairvi has received training in Hanen’s ‘It Takes Two To Talk’ program.
Bhairvi is a registered speech-language pathologist with a Master of Health Science in Speech-Language Pathology from The University of Toronto. She also holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Linguistics from The University of Toronto. Bhairvi is a member of the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario.
