Alexandra is a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist with experience working with a diverse clientele from infancy to adulthood. Alexandra strives to incorporate a client and family-centred approach combined with research and engaging activities to reach goals created together with the family. She has experience providing assessment and intervention to children in the areas of articulation, fluency, receptive and expressive language, literacy, social communication, and augmentative communication. She also has experience working with clients with Cerebral Palsy (CP), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI).
Alexandra is certified in Hanen’s “It Takes Two To Talk”, and the introductory workshop to Early Start Denver Model. She incorporates play, language strategies, and movement in sessions to reach goals. She believes in parent education and collaboration to transfer the strategies employed in therapy sessions so gains can be generalized in the home environment.
Alexandra is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist having received her Master of Health Science in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Toronto. She also received her Master of Teaching from The Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto with a qualification in Special Education. Alexandra is a member in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO), Ontario Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (OSLA) and the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT).
